Welcome to
The Philips Norton Players
Amateur Dramatic Society Web Site

Welcome to the Philips Norton Players web-site

For over 25 years there has been a thriving amateur drama group in Norton St Philip. We call ourselves the Philips Norton Players.

During our existence we have changed to reflect the strengths and interests of the people in the group and the contemporary drama scene. We have put on large-scale musicals that everyone enjoys immensely but as these can be time consuming for our busy members we also perform a range of other productions, usually funny and light-hearted and which also involve children and young people. We have found this combination of different productions works well for our audiences and members alike.

Most members of the Players live in Norton St Philip and we welcome all new people to the village to join us. We are happy for people to join as actors or be involved in the set design, construction, painting, lighting, costumes or be involved in any other of the activities that go into making a successful production. Take a look at our Come and Join In page for some ideas on how you might get involved, but whatever your interest we will be very happy to have you join us.

We don't expect people to devote themselves to the Players to the exclusion of all the other activities within the village - indeed Norton St Philip has many circles of friends and interests which overlap and intertwine. We like to think, however, that the Philips Norton Players is one of the conduits for getting into village life and quickly becoming part of our friendly community.

As with so many of the clubs, societies and groups in Norton St Philip, making friends and going to social events is very much part of life in the Players. So you will find that we arrange various parties, theatre visits, talks and readings to get everyone involved throughout the year.

As you would expect, PNP is run by a Committee and its Chairman and members would be most happy to tell you more about us. So please go to our Contact Or Visit Us page for information on who to contact and how to get tickets for our performances.

Hope to see you soon.
