Show Review
'The Head That Wouldn't Die' is a riotously funny
spoof of the 1950’s B-movie Sci-Fi and Horror films complete with werewolves, robots,
aliens, and disembodied heads.
Janice Arden, a young scientist and medical doctor
to be, and her dimwitted but loveable best friend Penny Taylor must save Glen Logan,
Penny’s boyfriend, after accidentally shooting him through the heart three times.
They remove Glen’s head and, through a miracle of science, keep it alive while they
search for a new body to replace his old one. Meanwhile, the community is in complete
terror of a 'madman' who has been killing and maiming people all over town.
Janice calls upon her nerdy friend Luke Lacombe and his creation, the B7, a highly
sophisticated robot to be the replacement body for Glen. But is the B7 really
who Luke says he is? Will Janice and Penny find a replacement body for
Glen before it’s too late? And who (or what) is the 'madman' that has been
mangling bodies all over town?
All this and more was revealed to the delight and
laughter of the audience during our recent autumn production.
